Top 10 tips for a coutry-chic wedding

Are you a Bride-to-be in love for the country-chic wedding style? This article is for you!

Not sure where to begin for making of your wedding a real country-chic wedding? Here you are my tips for it!

Whether the affair is indoors or out, a country wedding is the place to showcase your love for all things rustic and vintage. Even so, refined details can’t be left out if “country” if not enough and “chic” is the missing part in the definition.

  1. THE WEDDING DRESS

As it happens for any other wedding mood, the best country chic wedding gown must fill two straightforward criteria: make you look and feel GREAT! It’s your day, let nothing stay within you and the dress of your dream. Also because if you are a country-chic lover you’ll rarely incline to an imperial or princely dress end even so…your’re the bride!

That being said, the perfect country-chic wedding gown needs to be flowing, natural and charming look. The fabric could be lace, chiffon, organza and tulle. You can dare with pale colours and vintage or unconventional details.

  1. VINTAGE FLAVOUR AND NATURE

A country-chic wedding is often a vintage-inspired wedding: it draws on the rural tradition and emphasizes details, because sometimes we should just take the time to slow down and savour life.

As it happens in an ideal rural society, that follow the breath of Nature. After all, if this trend is named country-chic and not city-chic there is a clear reason why!

The connection with nature is strong, I would say intimate. The most emotional expression of it is in the ceremonies: romantic and genuine.

  1. WEDDING PALETTES

Two options: neutral colours or pale colours.

  1. WEDDING DECOR

The approach to the wedding decor in a country-chic wedding is not only a matter of flower.

The “packaging” is as important as its content. Instead of standard glass vases it’s better to lean to vintage pot or recycled jar, you could have fun in re-using those forgotten wood boxes or ceramic pots that lie in your garret!

  1. FORNISH YOUR WED

A country-chic wedding love to be unconventional and nothing can be worse than standard sitting set up. That’s real not only for the dinner tables, but also for ceremony and party areas. Choose unique items, mix and match them to create harmonic combination.

  1. NO TABLECLOTH

Although it’s not an “absolutely not”, a nude imperial table in vintage wood is the country-chic wedding landmark. A good alternative if you are a round table lover could be vintage lace tablecloths: unique and not standard!

  1. KEEP IT COSY

No matter if it will be in summer or winter…cosy it’s not a matter of temperature but it relates with the joy of sharing emotions with your guests.

  1. THE WEDDING CAKE

No to elaborated wedding cakes or too big wedding cake…country-chic style is really fancy but low-profile. The perfect wedding cakes are the Nude Cake and the Semi-naked Cake

  1. WEDDING LIGHTS

Although amazing, a baroque Murano chandelier is not the right choice for a country chic wedding and only stars above the wedding dinner are not enough. String lights and fairy light are the real must have, with a thousand of candles!

10. LET IT SPARKLE
